I’ve been keeping busy with my ongoing photography project of urban landscape photography. If you want to keep right up to date with all the latest images from this series then the best place is to follow the dedicated Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/anurbanportrait/

As well as plenty of images from around the United Kingdom there are plenty of photos from around Europe. Of course, the pandemic has hampered travel over the last few years but all being well I’m hoping to get a little further afield in the coming year with plans to visit Germany, Poland and Northern Ireland already pencilled in.

Photos from the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone 2 – The Abandoned City of Pripyat

In this gallery of photos from The Chernobyl Exclusion Zone I have focused on the abandoned city of Pripyat. The city was founded in 1970 and was built by the Soviet Union to serve the nearby Chernobyl Nuclear Plant. The city had a population of nearly 50,000 by the time it was evacuated on April 27, 1986, the day after the disaster at the Chernobyl Plant.

Tina and I recently visited Ukraine for some travel photography. We made a visit to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone to photograph many abandoned buildings in some small villages surrounding the nuclear plant and around Pripyat, the city close to Reactor Number 4 which exploded on April 26, 1986 which led to the evacuation of Pripyat and the 30km Exclusion Zone.

Wedding Photography: Crown Hotel & Ballroom, Nantwich – Jenny and Richard

We were back at the historic Crown Hotel and Ballroom in Nantwich to photograph the October wedding of Jenny and Richard. The Ceremony by Your Ceremony took place in the grand Ballroom before the drinks reception upstairs at The Crown. After photos the evening reception was held in the turned around Ballroom which included the surprise of Darth Vader from Star Wars arriving to arrest the Groom along with his Stormtroopers! The Groom was soon released and the Troopers posed for photographs.

After the speeches and cake cutting, the newly weds danced their first dance provided by local duo Baxter before dancing the night away.
